kundalini for every-body
As an uplifting blend of physical and meditative practices, Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the use of mantras. The goal is to build physical vitality, strengthen, promote a state of relaxation, calm the mind, release tension and increase consciousness. Brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan, this form of yoga looks and feels quite different, using simple postures, it focuses on repetitive, enhanced breathing and the movement of energy through the body.
The sets called Kryia, consist of Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breathing techniques). You need no prior experience, just bring is a water bottle, a towel for your mat and a relatively empty stomach.
A gong sound meditation or ‘Gong Bath’ is a sound massage for the body and mind. Great if you like the idea of a massage, but don’t like to be touched. You lie on your yoga mat in comfortable clothes and just relax.
Gongs use the vibrational frequency of sound. Sound frequencies affect us on a cellular level, influence how we feel and function. Sound healing practices like a Gong Bath use sound frequency to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace and well-being for better health - like a cat's purr :)
Sat Nam Rasayan is a meditative healing technique.
